IO-Link Valve Island

The pneumatic part of the IO-Link ecosystem

In the process of connecting pneumatics and electricals throughout the equipment and connecting via Ethernet, IO-Link is indeed one of the excellent choices. Compared with traditional bus communication methods, it has lower connection costs and can be integrated with the valve island to achieve Ethernet penetration of the entire device. IO-Link is a standardized interface technology based on serial communication that can be used to connect devices such as sensors and actuators. It uses a standard 3-wire (power, ground and communication wire) connection method and realizes the transmission of digital and analog signals. Compared with traditional single solenoid valves or multi-pin integrated valve terminals, IO-Link valve terminals have obvious advantages in wiring control. Using the IO-Link valve island, only a 4-core ordinary IO line is needed to control up to 24-bit double coil valve island, and it can be connected to equipment such as PLC control modules through wiring. Compared with the traditional single solenoid valve or multi-pin integrated valve island, this wiring method can significantly reduce on-site labor costs. Since the IO-Link valve island only requires a common IO line and does not require complex wiring and connectors, wiring materials and installation time are saved. This is very beneficial for the wiring and installation of large-scale equipment. In addition, IO-Link can also realize on-site IO penetration, which means that signals can be directly transmitted to the equipment through IO-Link, and more perfectly integrated with the pneumatic components in the equipment. In this way, both control and monitoring can be carried out more conveniently.
